Important! Please read the terms and conditions below before booking. The terms are applied for the safety of your child:

• Note that parents of children with additional needs are required to stay with their children for the duration of the camp. The organiser will be able to advise if this camp would be enjoyed or if the activities would be suitable for your child. Email info@loughgur.com for further details. 

• Please do not book this event if your child is NOT 8 years and over. 

• If you do not wish to have any images of your child posted on our social media/website please let our guides know upon arrival.

• This event is non-refundable. 

Lough Gur Summer Camp Information:

Join us for a TWO-DAY camp from Thursday July 18th to Friday July 19th at Lough Gur Lakeshore Park, starting at 10am and finishing at 1pm both days.

N.B: This camp is strictly for children aged between 8 years -13years. No exceptions.

Day 1:

Activities include Outdoor Cook and Eat Pancakes/S’more’s by the Lake, Pond Dipping, Bird Watching, The “Impossible” Scavenger Hunt, Nature inspired games, Nature Crafts and much more.

(Please bring wellies, outdoor clothing/footwear and a packed lunch. We have a shop on site if you wish to give your child pocket money)

Day 2:

Kayaking for 2 hours + where our guides will bring them on a journey around the lake to learn about Lough Gur’s ancient sites, and our wildlife and biodiversity. There is an exciting mixture of kayak-based activities alongside shore-based activities. 

Kayaking Requirements:

(If your child has a wetsuit then please have them bring it on this day. Alternatively, old footwear and clothing is also acceptable. Your child will get wet so a change of clothes, as well as a towel will be necessary, alongside a packed lunch)

Our kayaking guides will provide a Kayak, Helmet, and buoyancy jacket for each child. If your child has a fear of water, we advise not to book this event.
