A Celebration of Poetry, Music, and Story
with
Jon Kenny & special guests Catherine Ronan & Ruth Dillon
Lough Gur Visitor Centre is delighted to announce that we are hosting a one – off special evening of poetry and music with the legendary Jon Kenny. Jon is a man who needs no introduction, being a celebrated, actor, comedian, musician, and writer. He is a long-standing patron of Lough Gur and has performed here many times over the years. In recent times Jon has delved into the world of poetry, with some of the resulting work being directly linked to the ancient waters of Lough Gur.
Joining Jon on the night are poet Catherine Ronan and musician Ruth Dillon. Catherine is based in Cork and her debut collection ‘Elemental Skin’ is published by Revival. Ruth is a well-known singer songwriter based in Galway. Most recently, she is known for her work with the folk group the Raines, and she has collaborated with an impressive array of performers over the years.
This will be a unique and special evening, a joyous celebration of word and melody with one of Limerick’s most famed sons. Lough Gur Visitors’ Centre, overlooking the magical lake of Lough Gur, is a most fitting setting for what will be a night not soon forgotten.
Tickets to this event are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
