Engineers Week is a week-long festival of nationwide events celebrating Engineering in Ireland. From spaceships to ice-skates, bubbles in chocolate bars, to life-saving cancer treatment… Engineering touches every part of our lives.
Engineering the Moon – Tue 5 March @ Lough Gur Heritage Centre
Engineering the Moon – Engineering challenges of being on the Moon is a free 2 hour course which will show participants how to use inquiry based learning techniques to promote children’s learning and understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).
Participants will also explore activities that support the theme of Engineers Week. These have been developed from ESERO and Discovery Primary Science and Maths activities.
This course is being offered with the support of Science Foundation Ireland and ESERO Ireland (European Space Education Resource Office).
