Ring barrow on Knockfennel
On the summit of Knockfennel there is a ring-cairn of stones about 15 metres in diameter. Among the stones of the ring pockets of burnt human bones were found.
Hill forts on surrounding hills
Defended earth and stone enclosures on the surrounding hilltops as in Herbertstown also belong to this period.
