A visit to Santa at Lough Gur starts with each child and their family being greeted by Mrs Claus in her kitchen, where they will be treated to cookies while being entertained by Mrs. Claus’ funny stories of Santa. Grown ups are treated to Tea/Coffee and a mince pie but only if Mrs Claus thinks they have been good. Each child will then meet Santa himself where they will be enthralled by stories and chat. You can be sure that he will pass the beard pulling test as he is, of course, the real deal as verified by our younger visitors from previous years! And of course each child will receive a special gift before leaving Santa‘s grotto.
When your visit to Santa is over you will have time to enjoy the other magical aspects of Lough Gur including Santa’s sleigh where you can sit and look out over Lough Gur lake, it is the perfect place for a photo opportunity. Afterwards you can visit the enchanted Fairy Village located onsite which is a must, lots of fairies will be hiding in the grounds waiting to see the boys and girls visiting Santa. You can also relax and enjoy the walks along the lakeside in truly magical surroundings.
If you do want a stress free, traditional Santa visit then this is the option for you.All proceeds go to Lough Gur Development. A non profit community organisation working to preserve and protect the area of Lough Gur. All children must be supervised at all times.
Our professional photographer Keith Wiseman will be on hand to capture all the magical moments, a photograph package is optional but available at an extra cost on the day.

“Best Santa visit we’ve had! Lough Gur was so refreshing. Away from the hustle and bustle and just quality family time in beautiful surroundings. Santa was exceptional, spending as much time with the kids as they wanted. The scenery is a photographers dream, i could have sat in the sleigh and looked out at the lake and mountains all day. After Santa, we took the 100 steps to visit the fairies and take in the views of the surrounding area. We had been advised to count the fairies and report back to make sure they were all there, a task my five year old was more than willing to accept. Can’t wait to return in the spring, packing a picnic and spending longer in the area. Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to discover a new hidden gem.”
